Welcome to The Children’s Garden Child Development Centers (“TCG”). TCG was incorporated on September 13, 1999, and is a for-profit business founded by Lupe P. Nevarez and Carmen P. Lucero in November 1997.

We are happy that you have chosen one of our centers for your childcare needs. The Children’s Garden Centers are licensed and operated under the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) – Child Care Licensing Regulations, NM FOCUS, which govern and monitor facilities which provide childcare to children in the State of New Mexico. In addition, The Children’s Garden Child Development programs follow and maintain the policies and procedures of the NECPA Accreditation Standards (New Mexico 5-Stars) for early childhood programs.

The Children’s Garden locations are licensed childcare centers. We are required to meet licensing regulations to receive a license through the ECECD. For additional STARS, programs are required to meet higher quality standards in the following areas:

Appropriate daily learning activities reflect each child's interests, growth, & development.

The environment affects the way children behave, develop and learn.

Family Involvement

Family involvement helps staff make learning meaningful to children.

Assessment

Assessment allows staff to observe & document children's progress & share information with parents.

To maintain and upgrade our STAR Level License, our facilities must consistently meet the rigorous standards set for each level. We undergo annual licensing visits, where our programs are evaluated against current criteria to ensure we meet the highest standards. As a proud holder of the prestigious 5-star license, our centers have achieved national accreditation through the National Early Childhood Program Association (NECPA), demonstrating our unwavering commitment to quality and excellence in early childhood education.

What started with just 12 children has blossomed into a vibrant community serving over 700 children today. This incredible growth is a reflection of our dedication to excellence and the trust that families place in us. Every child who walks through our doors becomes a part of The Children’s Garden family, benefiting from our enriching programs and nurturing environment.
